Both Mitchel and Vincent, on Sunday January 27 2019, and Trio Paradis, on 24 February 2019, will be held in St Mary’s Church and not the Church Hall, as advertised. This is to accommodate comfortably the larger numbers attending the concerts this season.

Gill Sayzeland has a go at one of Colin Block’s extensive collection of trumpets while Colin blows the hose pipe on which he played Jeremiah Clarke’s famous Prince of Denmark’s March (aka the Trumpet Voluntary) in a varied and uplifting programme of music from mediaeval to modern.
Colin comments, ‘Please tell Gill that she has more potential than she realises to play the trumpet. It’s never too late!’
The concert included Linda Stocks on the ‘cello and Jacquelyn Bevan on keyboards, accompanying Colin as well as playing solo and together- particularly memorable in Saint-Saëns’ The Swan.
